5 Fun Easter Activities for Kids

Grappling with how to keep your kids entertained during Easter half term? Here are a few fun ideas from traditional Easter egg hunt to baking cupcakes and hunting fossils by the sea. These activities will do the trick!

Easter Egg Hunt – Easter wouldn’t be the same without an egg hunt. If you would like to avoid chocolate eggs and sugar tantrums luckily there are other ideas you can try. We recommend making your own egg hunt or trying this one from Talking Tables sold in Selfridges.

Decorating Easter Eggs – is a fun activity the children of all ages enjoy. You can buy Easter egg dye in many craft stores and prepare it according to the package instructions, or make your own by mixing 1 teaspoon vinegar with 1/4 teaspoon of food colouring.

Easter Cupcakes – get messy in the kitchen with Annabel Karmel’s recipes because who doesn’t love a cupcake? The easter cupcakes are fun to make and every bit as sweet as they are bright. With a moist vanilla cupcake topped with a delicious buttercream, these cupcakes are sure to appeal to even the pickiest eaters.

Easter Baskets – get prepared for egg hunting by creating your own beautiful Easter basket design or assemble one from Baker Ross made from ceramic and porcelain, wood or foam.

Outdoor activities – there is lots going on outdoors this Easter weekend from fossil hunts by the sea to spring nature walks in the country and family bike rides. Check out the National Trust website for some fun activities in the fresh air for a family to enjoy.

If you decide to try any of these fun activities, we’d love to see your designs and feel free to share your own easter activity!
