Other attractions include the famous Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition and Ice Rink where adults and toddlers have their own special weekend skating sessions too. Both events start in October, are very popular and tickets go quickly so you may want to book in advance.
Entry to the museum is free but there is a charge for some temporary exhibitions and Ice Rink.

The most popular attractions in the museum include: Stephenson’s Rocket an early steam engine, the jet engine, an original Apollo 10 capsule that flew around the moon and was used in a first moon landing. Hamleys
If you are going shopping at Regents Street don’t forget to pop into Hamleys, the largest toy shop in the world. The shop is spread over seven floors and provides toys for every budget. They also have puppet shows, demonstrations and you can build your own teddy which is assembled and tailored according to your own choice.
If you are near Kings Cross station and you are with the children who are Harry Potter fans there is a theme shop at Platform 9 ¾. You can take your own picture with the famous trolley or have one taken with your chosen house scarf and buy anything such as pyjamas, books, picture frames, key rings, magnets etc.
If the weather is nice for animals experiences visit London Zoo near Regents Park which is spread over 14 hectare. You can come face to face with lions, tigers, penguin, reptiles and fish. For a little extra you can also meet and feed the giraffes and learn some interesting facts.
There is plenty of space to run and on a nice day you can have your own picnic outside or have lunch at one of the coffee shops.
Kew Gardens is a fun day out when the weather is nice. There are about 10 different plant houses with varying environments. You can stroll along a soaring treetop walkway and learn all about plants. You can also have fun walking around the extensive grounds, climb the great Chinese Pagoda or have a picnic near the massive real beehive. London Eye and Emirates Air Line
If you are short of time and you want to see the magnificent views of London you can visit London Eye or if you are a family with a slightly older children or young teens you can soar above the River Thames on the Emirates Air Line Cable Car. On a rainy day you can visit to London Dungeon along South Bank for some scary rides. This is a thrilling attraction for kids 12 years old and above. The rides represent dark historical past in a humorous way.
