Our returning client, a mother of two lovely children aged 12 year old boy and 7 years old girl is looking for a live in nanny/housekeeper. The children spend one week with the mother and another week with the father, therefore, the job is only for every other week, 6 months per year in total. The candidate can live in during the working week or the whole time, whichever is preferable. Normal duties will be required such as helping get ready in the morning, breakfast, school drop off and pick up, supporting homework, dinner and bedtime routine. While the children are at school there will be some housekeeping, laundry, cooking for the kids, cleaning and a bit of PA duties – such as admin jobs around the house. Our client is looking for a lovely, dedicated nanny/housekeeper who is fun and bubbly, has a good level of English and ideally EU passport as travelling with the family a few times a year in Europe will be required.

A lovely international family is looking for a governess or governor to take care of their son who will be starting school in the UK in September. This is a live in role as the parents will be abroad most of the time. Their son will be studying in a very prestigious school in Kent and are looking for a candidate who can take care of all his needs. The family lives and works abroad but have a home and the father’s office is London and he visits frequently.
He will be staying either at family’s house in Kings Wood near M25 or their apartment in London Bridge. A driver is essential for this role as they will need to drive him to school and after school activities and also during weekends. If the family decides to use their London Bridge apartment then the child will travel to school by train. The candidate will need to travel with him the first few times until he is comfortable to commute on his own. Then a school bus will pick him up from outside the station in Kent.
This role is from Monday to Sunday but the child is at school Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30 or 5:30pm depending if he has after school activities and half a day on Saturday. So the candidate will have a lot of time off during the weekday and holidays and half terms. The daily duties will be to wake him up at 7:30am, give him breakfast and take him to the train station or to drive him to school, school pick up, 1 or 2 hours of homework, dinner, shower and bedtime at about 9:30/10pm and whatever plans he has on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. It will be a bonus if the candidate can prepare dinner but the family can also consider hiring a housekeeper to clean, do the laundry and cook dinner.
The role will also involve:

Ensure he settles into school life and copes well academically
Overall monitor his academic progress and provide tutoring assistance where needed / alert teachers where appropriate. No particular expertise in specific subjects is sought although French and Latin would be beneficial. He would bond well with someone with a history or geography background.
Provide social, etiquette and moral guidance in the absence of parents particularly given he is of adolescent age
Encourage a range of extracurricular activities and friendships at school (several classmates from Harrow are also going to the same school in Kent)
Monitor online activity and overall friendships/relationships in a general way to ensure he is not in danger
Drive him daily to and from school and extracurricular activities
Supervise him after school including ensuring homework is completed, bathed and fed and goes to bed on time; wakes up in time to gets to school; ensure sleep times are regular.
Ensure that he has fitness and exercise ideally daily– including taking into account his school and extra curricular activities
Assist with any miscellaneous items such as purchasing of school books, uniform item replacement, sport equipment, computer, etc on an adhoc basis during semester
Ideally the governess or governor can also manage food shopping and cooking if not the family can find other arrangements. There is a house supervisor and cleaners
