Extra Learning at Home Ideas

1. Elevenses with the World of David Walliams  - David reads from his children’s books every day for a month. So if you would like to listen tune in at 11am, sit down and enjoy about 20 minutes of pure fun! You can also catch up on any stories you missed last week. 

2. Booktrust – its a good website for ideas of books to read with most popular book reading lists for different age groups:

3. The maths factor is available as a free resource during school closures and matched to the national curriculum for children ages from 4 to 12 years old. Carol Volderman presents fun and lively videos to help kids with a bit of daily practice. You can also find fantastic games to play, real medals to win and much, much more. 

4. Funbrains – its a collection of online educational games, videos and books for kids of all ages which your children would actually want to play. We recommend that you check it out! 

5. PBS games – lots of online educational games, videos and stories for kids to play for instant boredom – busting. 

6. Q – files – its an online illustrated, comprehensive and up to date encyclopedia with free access for all until the end of July 2020.  

7. STEM learning – lots of science information and video fun clips with home learning activities for families.
